3 More Years of Search Symbiosis With Google And Mozila
The popular search browser Mozila and an equally fragrant online search engine Google have agreed to symbiosis for 3 more years. The partner ship which was scheduled to climax later in November this year is now extended to November, 2011.
The company’s strategic relationship dates back as long as 2006 when Mozila collected some $56.8 million, which was 85% of its revenue due this strategic alliance.
The renewal comes as a much sigh of relief for Mozila as even in the wake of its growing popularity Google did not lost its due relevance, hence Mozila had much at stake compared to Google, had this deal not worked out between them.
In the words of Mozilla’s CEO, John Lilly,” We’re very, very happy about our relationship with Google and this makes sure that Mozila will be sustainable and thrive for quite a long time to come.”. The apprehensions are clearly evident form the statement and procure that Mozila was desperate for the extension of the lease agreement with Google.
In fact, the new agreement comes as a life saver for the browser which can now work on for 3 more years to set its future strategies in the market, solo or allied with Google in the coming days.
The new renewed alliance does not imply that the two giants have come closer together as there are still hot rumors and gossips in the corridors of cyber commerce that there may be one or two issues which needs to be sorted out between the two famed giants.
Indeed Google hold its significance on the cyberspace, but it has to be seen how much the most adored Firefox browser and its mortality rate is affected with the new alliance or without Google in the distant future to come. Till then, keep browsing …. with Gfox.
