After all, there are still a lot of information that could be stored in other pages. Internal linking will help you increase the chances of having many pages of your website indexed. What’s more, you can also boost your search engine ranking. For example, if your homepage has a page rank of 5 (which is really good), and you link to another page, the latter will benefit from the stable PR of the former through an inbound link.

What Is the Best Strategy that You Can Do?The no-follow attribute will play a huge part in internal linking. It’s basically a tag that will inform the spider which of your outbound links within your internal pages will receive the love and page rank that search engine spiders may have given to your homepage. This is also to make sure that the more important pages will get better ranking than the less important ones.

Illustration: Supposing you have three pages in your website. The homepage will basically get 100 percent rank from Google, and it will also be the one that will be indexed quickly. Now you have two more web pages that you can link to. If you don’t use the no-follow attribute, each of this page will get 25 percent, since half of what the homepage is getting will be given to the outbound links. If you have Contact Us and Products and Services page, respectively, you would always want to give importance to the latter than the former. To do that, you use a no-follow attribute to Contact Us to give the entire 50 percent in Products and Services.
