With digital marketing skills increasingly in demand, LinkedIn has launched two new, free LinkedIn marketing certification courses, which allow you to both learn more about LinkedIn’s advertising tools and options, as well as gain official certification, which you can then display on your LinkedIn profile.

I mean, this is not the most impressive certificate, and probably most people will not laminate the PDF (which you can download) or frame it on their wall. But it offers a different way to showcase your knowledge of LinkedIn’s advertising tools, which can help you reach your professional competition.

As noted, LinkedIn offers two certifications to demonstrate your platform expertise:

  • Fundamental certification (basic): Demonstrate expertise in launching LinkedIn advertising campaigns and tactics. With this certification, you can run successful LinkedIn advertising campaigns that deliver business results.
  • Marketing Strategy Certification (Intermediate): Demonstrate expertise in using LinkedIn advertising for complete funnel strategies, including brand awareness and lead generation. Once you are certified, you can develop marketing strategies that use the full range of LinkedIn marketing tools.

The process of obtaining your certification involves first learning more about LinkedIn’s advertising products, via a series of courses available on the LinkedIn Certification Page.

After completing each module – or if you are confident that you know all the important details – you can take the relevant certification exam, in which you have 60 minutes to answer 60 multiple-choice questions on LinkedIn’s advertising tools. a process.

You can repeat the test up to 3 times and the certification expires in two years. And even though you have 60 minutes, you can do it in significantly less time than you know, if you know what you are good at.

If you pass the test, you can follow the steps to add the certification to your LinkedIn profile, highlighting your knowledge of LinkedIn advertising to visitors.

The test questions themselves are a bit of a mixed bag, at least in the ‘Fundamentals’ test, some of which of course indicate the correct answer among the options, and others which require a good knowledge of LinkedIn advertising system.

But the process is free, and you have three shots at it – and at least, even if you do not pass the final test, you will eventually learn a lot more about how LinkedIn advertising works and how to build your campaigns on the platform.

And as noted, with e-commerce and digital marketing focusing more over the past year, it may be worth honing your skills and gaining official accreditation to maximize your future prospects.

Or you can do it just to test yourself and whether you really know about LinkedIn marketing as you think.
