Reddit continues to refine its advertising tools with a new update of its ad creation platform, including bid recommendations, improved editing functionality, and improved system performance.

First, on bid recommendations – if you set up your Reddit advertising campaign, the dashboard will display a recommended bid price to ensure optimal audience reach, based on your chosen parameters.

As you can see in this example, Reddit’s system will now provide an estimated bid that will probably cost you the best results with your campaign, if you reach your audience.

This is similar to the hearing and cost estimation tools available on other platforms (especially Facebook), which provides additional guidance for optimizing your campaigns, or for setting more realistic performance expectations based on comparative parameters.

Of course, the platforms ideally want you to spend more, so you should also always conduct your own experiments to supplement such guidance. But it can improve the performance of your Reddit ads by better highlighting this element.

In addition, Reddit has also implemented an enhanced bulk editing process, which enables advertisers to update bids and budgets across multiple ad groups simultaneously, while also making various system improvements to maximize efficiency.

“Load times with the updated dashboard are also now 2x faster than before”

As noted, Reddit has been working for the past few years to refine and present its business offerings large, involved audience as a more lucrative, attractive option for branding. The platform was at first considered more of an untamed corner of the internet has cleansed many of its most controversial communities, while it also continues add more tools to reach Redditors when they are most active in-stream.

It even updated its slogan – what used to be ‘the front page of the internet’ is now ‘dive into anything’.

Whether it can better describe what Reddit is used for, and increase the appeal to advertising partners, it’s hard to say, but perhaps the platform, by moving further away from previous associations, could expand to new business areas.
